Jordan McCready survived two tours in Afghanistan before coming home to bury his parents and care for his sick brother. He works long hours in the mill, doesn't talk much, and likes it that way. His PTSD keeps him away from other people, but it also keeps him comfortable. He can't stand to be pitied and doesn't want anyone around him getting hurt.
Jessica has spent most of her life bouncing between homeless shelters and foster families, but you could never tell from her smile. She loves taking care of the animals in the By-Gone Shelter, and just got a job at the old diner on the edge of town. She's training during the graveyard shift when Jordan comes in and... Well, she's a little distracted by those blue eyes. Otherwise, maybe she would've been more careful when the next guy comes in.

The Virgin and the Hero is super safe smut full of over-the-top situations and insta-love galore. It is a bit mushier than the usual Kendall Duke story, but that's because these are good people that need real loveand sex. Lots, and lots, and lots of sex. Please enjoy this lovely story full of baby-making goodness with a big ole HEA for two people who've been through the worst and deserve the best.
Some violence in the beginning of the bookbut remember: this is about a hero. Everything turns out just fine. The Innocent series, all stand alone stories about sassy virgins and the possessive, wounded alphas that have just got to claim them.
