A simple model of the scaling parameter (fc) as a function of z/L for a stable surface layer is developed. This model is used to derive empirical forms for curves presented by Kaimal et al. (1972). Also obtained is the peak of the frequency and the maximum value of the logarithmic spectra as a function of Z/L.

## Abstract Results of our recent investigation of spectral measurements of wind velocity in the surface layer are analysed in light of the hypothesis proposed by Kaimal __et al.__ (1972). It is confirmed that in the inertial subrange the spectra for all the three components and varying stability c
