✦ Synopsis
Solutions of cesium k-I-iodide and potassium iodide and iodine in water show a strong resonance Ramun effect of the 13 ion when excited by the ultraviolet lines at 3638 and 3511 A of an argon ion laser. &h intensity Overtone progressions of the "symmetnc . " vibration vi lvere observed.
This progression allows the contirmation of the presence of the 13 ion in iodine-methanol solutions.
