Abstract

The problem of transport characteristics of disordered substances having a “crystallite” structure is solved on the basis of the size effect theory. It is found that materials of this type can have the peculiarities typical for “real” amorphous semiconductors, e.g. a higher value of activation energy than half of the optical energy gap, a “mobility gap”, and a switch effect.
