β¦ Synopsis
An eficient procedure for signal representation, baaed on known signal properties, is presented. The representation minimizes the mximum of the ratio of the error and the signal norm, the per cent error. Signal claaaea are spec@ed by normalized quadratic functionals. These results are contrasted with the theory of n-widths of signal classes, and several applications are developed.

We demonstrate that the Dirac representation theory can be effectively adjusted and applied to signal theory. The main emphasis is on orthogonality as the principal physical requirement. The particular role of the identity and projection operators is stressed. A Dirac space is defined, which is span
In hyperfine sublevel correlation spectroscopy (HYSCORE), the finite duration of the microwave pulses leads to an incomplete inversion of the electron spin magnetization by the third pulse, which results in a significant admixture of stimulated ESEEM to HYSCORE ESEEM. This virtually unavoidable cont
