โฆ Synopsis
The development of numerical models to describe physical problems with irregular boundaries frequently involves the use of very fine or variable Cartesian meshes when a more descriptive mesh might be appropriate. This paper describes the application of the transmission line matrix (TLM) technique to the analysis of orthogonal curvilinear mesh problems. Although very high levels of accuracy are possible, the computational efficiency may be reduced owing to the stub admittance factor, S, and the need for an accurate evaluation of the transmission line parameters.

## Abstract In this article a method of curvilinear orthogonal mesh generation in three dimensions is described. This technique is based on the solution of elliptic equations in two and three dimensions. Frequently, the generated meshes are not quite orthogonal; hence a modified Davies' algorithm i

This study enables the use of very high-order finite-difference schemes for the solution of conservation laws on stretched, curvilinear, and deforming meshes. To illustrate these procedures, we focus on up to 6th-order Pade-type spatial discretizations coupled with up to 10th-order low-pass filters.

A novel theoretical model for free-space optical communication is presented. The model (called the "duplication mesh" (DM)) uses a fixed set of light duplication schemes so that n processors can communicate in parallel. In order to transmit a message, a processor directs a light beam to one of the d
