Unexpected difficulty with tracheal intubation contributes to anaesthetic morbidity and mortality. The intubating laryngeal mask is effective in facilitating blind intubation. We have evaluated the effect of cricoid pressure on the ability to insert an intubating laryngeal mask, and to pass a trache
