✦ Synopsis
A unified analysis procedure based on the predictor-corrector method and the CIP (Cubic-Interpolated Propagation) method to simultaneously simulate compressible and incompressible flow is presented. In this algorithm, the time splitting and predictor-corrector method are used to enhance the solution accuracy and convergence performance. To validate the numerical algorithm proposed in this study, the two-dimensional unsteady flow in the driven cavity, the compressible flow over forward step with a Mach number of 3, the two-dimensional broken dam, and the collapsing bubble contacted with a high density of fluid are simulated. The numerical results of these several subjects using the present algorithm are compared with other numerical and experimental ones. As a result, it is proved that the present scheme gives stable and improved solutions, and the results even with coarse grid are in good agreement with the other results using a fine grid developed for their own use of compressible or incompressible fluid. @
