✦ Synopsis
Twelve fenoterol patients reported adverse side effects (eg, tremors)versus seven treated with isoetharine, but the distribution and severity in the two groups were judged as similar. The authors conclude that both fenoterol and isoetharine appear to be initially effective, but fenoterol has a longer duration of action and, therefore, should be a useful addition to the group of selective bronchodilators.
