The paper treats the crack at the interface between a layer and a substrate. Using a formulation based on dislocations, the problem is reduced to a pair of singular integral equations which can be solved numerically. It is found that a large contact zone exists whenever the interface transmits shear

This paper deals with the problem of determining the stress intensity factors when a penny-shaped crack 0 < r d 1, z = 0 is located at the interface of two bonded dissimilar transversely isotropic elastic half-spaces. Analytical solutions for contact stresses, stress intensity factors and difference
The plane strain problem for determining the dynamic stress intensity factor in orthotropic medium when a Griffith crack is situated at the interface of two dissimilar half spaces is considered. By use of the Fourier transform technique, the mixed boundary value problem is reduced to solving a pair
