In a previous paper by one of the authors [1], the solution to the general nonuniform motion of a screw dislocation in an isotropic medium was obtained. This solution may be used, as shown here, to solve the same problem for a screw dislocation in an anisotropic medium, when the xz plane is one of crystal symmetry. In this case the stress-strain relations are: 0u v ~u~.
