β¦ Synopsis
Collected for the first time ever in this Spectre Library edition (in a limited edition of 200 copies, now out-of-print), these 12 weird and occult tales feature Dr. Phileas Immanuel, soul-specialist. Advocating that problems of the abnormal psychic state could be remedied with treatment upon the basic theory of reincarnation, the great neurological psychic physician must exorcise discarnate thieves, murderers, religious madmen, combatants or grave consequences may befall the living host of the reincarnated lost soul. Serialization of The Tracer Of Egos first debuted in Hollandβs Magazine (a monthly mail-order magazine distributed primarily in the South) from June 1913 to February 1914, and featured only nine of the original twelve weird tales. The remaining stories appeared when the series was syndicated to various big-city northern newspapers after Hollandβs had finished running the first nine.
