Serialization of The Tracer Of Egos first debuted in Holland’s Magazine (a monthly mail-order magazine distributed primarily in the South) from June 1913 to February 1914, and featured only nine of the original twelve weird tales. The remaining stories appeared when the series was syndicated to various big-city northern newspapers after Holland’s had finished running the first nine.
