✦ Synopsis
A new synthesis of cis-[Ru(bipy)zClz] is presented, starting from [Ru(bipy)py4]*: Also, a method for obtaining cis-tram mixtures of [Ru(bipy)&'12] is described. During conversion of trans-[Ru(bipy)2py2]2' to [Ru(bipy)&'l,] isomerization is found to occur.

## Abstract The synthesis of a number of new 2,2′‐bipyridine ligands functionalized with bulky amino side groups is reported. Three homoleptic polypyridyl ruthenium (II) complexes, [Ru(L)~3~]^2+^ 2(PF~6~^−^), where L is 4,4′‐dioctylaminomethyl‐2,2′‐bipyridine (Ru4a), 4,4′‐didodecylaminomethyl‐2,2′‐
Upon the electrochemical oxidation of tris(2,2Ј-bipyridyl) ruthenium(II) [Ru(bpy) 3 2ϩ ] and hydroxyl carboxylic acids, for instance, citric acid, tartaric acid, malic acid, and D-gluconic acid, bright electrochemiluminescences (ECLs) were observed. Different luminescent reactions were presented dep
