sodium / 4 C l # ~c e t a t e was treated with thionyl chloride giving [14CI)-acetyZ chZoride which WIS reacted with ethylmnine t o give -N-ethyl-(14Cl]-acetwiide. Reduction of t h i s mnide with Zithiwn alwniniwn hydride gave (14CI]

-diethylamine which on treatment with a Z p e r g i c acid-imidazole compZex gave the required p o c k e t .
