✦ Synopsis

A series of novel derivatives of 2,5-dihydro-l,3,5,2triazaphosphorine has been synthesized and the structures of the most stable tautomers have been confirmed by 'H NMR and IR spectroscopy, M S , elemental analyses, and quantum chemistry calculations. We suggest that the thioenol form is more stable than the thione form which has been thought to be more stable up to the present time. The bioassay tests indicated that most of the new products have good antitumor activity.
