## Abstract The photosensitized oxygenation of the ฮฒ,ฮณโ€unsaturated ketonic sesquiterpene, davanone, is described. Treatment of davanone epoxide with an acid ion exchange resin yields a stereoisomeric mixture of the davana ethers, sesquiterpenoids containing two reduced furan rings.
