Shane Lasher is a criminal attorney with a grave secret. He is a serial killer who only kills bad guyshis own clients. Shane has spent his life hunting the StoneCutter, one very bad killer. The StoneCutter buries his victims alive and leaves them for dead. One year ago, he was captured and charged with murder. Shane defended him and got him acquitted.

Serial killers have been written many times before, but not like this.
Book series from the past that offered a serial killer as a hero (Dexter, The Punisher, Mr. Monster, and Mr. Brooks, etc.) have all acknowledged that a serial killer has an alter ego, a dark side, or voice inside of them. The S.Lasher & Associates series is seen through the eyes of the voice/creature/dark thing that lives in Shane Lasher-the hero.
Each book is a mystery and a stand alone novel. Yet, each book is connected in a larger story. And each is told from the perspective of a dark voice in Shane's head. So as Shane is hunting and killing other bad guys, the creature in his head fights to control him.
