In cyanobacteria, solubilization of thylakoid membranes by detergents yields both monomeric and trimeric Photosystem I (PS I) complexes in variable amounts. We present evidence for the existence of both monomeric and trimeric PS I in cyanobacterial thylakoid membranes with the oligomeric state depen
