✦ Synopsis

In most of the world's rivers, a relation can often be established between the water level and the discharge. This relation may, be a simple linear one with a single segment or it may be a complex one with several segments, loops and inflections. The advantage of such ratings is such that a continuous recording of the water level, either by chart recorder or by more sophisticated solid-state equipment, provides a continuous record of the river discharge.

## Abstract This paper presents an analytical method for establishing a stage–fall–discharge rating using hydraulic performance graphs (HPG). The rating curves derived from the HPG are used as the basis to establish the functional relation of stage, fall and discharge through regression analysis fo

Nitriding by microwave post-discharge process involves molecular nitrogen dissociation. It has been observed that nitrogen flux from surface to solid during the early stage does not follow a parabolic regime and that the growth rate of concomitant nitride layers is sensitive to atomic nitrogen conce
