✦ Synopsis

The existence of the stable molecules L&O and L&O has been shown ex~~men~lly for the first time. Prom measu~ments of the gaseous equilibria: Li~O(g)+Li(g)~Li~O(g~ +Li,fg) and Li~O(g)+Li~(g)~Li~O(g) -f-L&(g), the following atomization energies were obtained: @(L&O) =276.0+ 6.0 kcahmol and @(L&O) = 305.0+ 6.5 kcallmol.
