Abstract

Using the published results of inelastic neutron scattering experiments on MnP~3~ and FePd, we have calculated the spin‐wave contribution to the specific heat of each of these materials. While the results show aT^3/2^ temperature dependence at low temperatures. substantial deviations from this law were obtained for temperatures above about 10 K.
