Esther Carlson (21 August 1920 โ 14 March 1991) was an American author. She published one novel, Moon Over the Back Fence (1947). Her 1947 novel Moon Over the Back Fence was about a little girl, Ellen, who befriends an imaginary Uncle George. Other short stories include a humorous series about Dr. Aesop Abercrombie in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction (1953-1954) and "Room With a View" in Fantastic (1953).
