โœฆ Synopsis

Absorption, fluorescence, quantum yields and lifetimes of rhodamine 6G in water, methanol, dichloroethane and chloroform were measured. From a comparison of these quantities with those for thin glass and plastic films conclusions are drawn about dimer formation and the stability of rhodamine 6G in these materials. The stability in the films is increased as compared with the

It is demonstrated from vapour-pressure osmometric data on solutions of phosphatidylcholine in benzene in the concentration range 0.015-0.08 mole/1 that under these conditions PC forms aggregates of about 15 molecules. From dielectric measurements it follows that in these aggregates the dipoles of t

Time-resolved fluorescence spectra of the DCM dye molecule in methanol and chloroform have been studied using the fluorescence up-conversion technique with femtosecond time resolution. The photocurrent and photoionization charge of anthracene in various non-polar solvents have been measured under the thirdharmonics of a Nd-YAG laser excitation. They are quadratically proportional to the laser pulse energy, though those of water are cubically proportional to them. Anthracene exhibi
