A simple criterion permits one to predict when a liquid phase will form in Fischer-Tropsch reactors with Schulz-Glory product distributions. The composition and quantity of the liquid can be calculated from the chain-growth probability and the usual operating data. Such calculations are important fo

โฆ Synopsis
The solubilities of Hz, CO, CO*, argon, methane, ethane, ethene, propane and butane in Arge reactor wax were measured at 433, 473 and 513 K using a volumetric technique. For Hz, CO and CO,, the experimental results were sIightly lower than those found in similar waxes by other researchers. This discrepancy could be ascribed to the use of a wax with a higher average molecular weight. The results for the organic gases confirmed the theory of Caldwell and van Vuuren (1986) for calculating the average wax composition.
