✦ Synopsis

The small-angle scattering of a polyelectrolyte solution in the dilute and semi-dilute regimes is calculated for systems in the absence of added salt. The calculation is based on a one-component plasma macrofluid reference fluid for the interchain interaction and has the qualitative form and concentration dependence of experimental work on biopolymers and synthetic polyelectrolytes.
