✦ Synopsis

The excitation spectrum for the St *Se fluorescence of 9,10-dibromoanthracene caused by exctting the T, state was measured in ethanol with a stepwise two-photon excitation technique. It was compared with the T, + T, absorption spectrum and the S,,, + T, absorption spectrum was observed for the first time.
