✦ Synopsis
A dominant theme in the preceding papers is that science is carried out in a context, and that this context itself can function as a barrier. The root cause of these barriers is distortion in the way we perceive the world and transmit information. A secondary theme, best developed in Peters' chapter, is that the methods of science, as well as context, can be a barrier. I will address both of these themes in turn, trying to show where there is commonality in cause, and listing some of the practical solutions suggested.
