✦ Synopsis

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) of pyridme adsorbed on silver electrodes prepared by an electrochemical plating method was studied. This EP Ag electrode gave strong SERS with or without an applied potential in a pyridine .colution.

Its behavior was similar to that of the ORC Ag electrode which has been used in studying SER.% The advantage of this EP Ag electrode is that it is simple the complication of the chloride ion being avoided.
