✦ Synopsis

Abstract

A modification of the concept of “seniority” for the classification of the permitted terms and the effective operators in complexes and molecules is presented. Tables of the states of complexes of impurity orbital nondegenerate ions (N = 3, 4) with spin S (\documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$ S = \frac{1}{2} - \frac{7}{2} $\end{document}) and the corresponding tensorial operators are given.
