✦ Synopsis

We present expe&ent?l d&t of second virial~coeffidients of a&n at temperatures of 77.3.87.2 and 90.2 K.

The results axe in excelledagreement with theoretical values.

In recent years considerable progress in the determination of the intermolecular potentials of, argon and the other noble gases has been made. Fqr argon some few-parameter potentials are used [l-5] for which calculated and experimental results of second virial coefficients and tratisport properties are in good a~eem~nt. These potktials, however, seem not to be flexible enough in order to describe other measurements as elastic scattering and spectroscopic data. Therefore some m~ti-parameter potential enerm. functions are introduced, which give a satisfactory ,.
