The Scream is an effort to lay bare the cruelty, injustice, and suffering of those who are marginalized and oppressed, those who are called others, wretched outcasts, and destitute inferiors who have been pushed into a dark abyss.
This collection was born out of a desire to confront the untold truths of those left out and ignored. For that mission, it makes use of the legacy of Persian poetry and gives a new life to the classical tradition in pursuit of a contemporary vision of poetry. It mixes the experiences of Iranians and reflects their fears, tumults, and painful history of people living in the confines of a unique realm of interaction and explores universal truths that are part of the human condition, regardless of our ethnicity, religion or nationality.
