β¦ Synopsis
Genre: Contemporary Menage; please see Publisher's Note
Prequel to: Genetic Attraction
Geneticist Jake Martin has brilliant scientific vision, but heβs blind to his own nature. Despite his flagging interest in women and his past experience with a man, heβs convinced himself heβd be happy if he could just have his older boss, Emmaline Silvay, as his lover. Living in his closeted dream world, heβs unprepared for the powerful attraction he experiences to supermodel Roan Black, βthe most beautiful man in the world.β
Jake canβt resist the gorgeous, androgynous creature. Who could? he thinks. But Roan refuses to accept him until Jake admits that itβs a man he wants and this man in particular. Jake tells himself itβs just sex, but his refusal to understand what he really needs threatens the best chance at happiness heβs ever had. Is there a future for a PhD scientist who refuses to see and a high school dropout supermodel who understands all too clearly?
Publisher's Note: This book is predominantly a romance between two bisexual men and features primarily male/male sexual practices; however, it contains m/f and m/m/f scenes and is therefore classified as menage, not strictly LGBT.
Review
Ms. Lain tells a great story from the very first page and I found it hard to put down even for a minute. The plot of the story was well thought out and I could really see most of this story really taking place in someone's life. Both Jake and Roan are great characters. Jake is a very smart person, but like most people he still has many issues he has to deal with. In Roan's case, he is one of the sexiest men around, but still has a hard time finding people who like him for himself and not just for what he can do for them.
This was the first book I have read from this author. Not only did I enjoy it, but I look forward to reading more from this author and this series.

It's funny how, when you read a book that is so good, the characters not only hold your attention but your heart as well. In this story I got to see the lust and love of both Roan and Jake grow and bloom into something everlasting. As I watched the tale unfold, I could not help but wish them both the best and hoped they'd come away with everything they wanted. Not only does the book have an in-depth plot that broke my heart, it also had a beautiful air of tenderness that left me breathless.

I absolutely loved this book. I loved meeting Jake's family. I loved seeing Jake grow into himself. I loved seeing Roan as a multidimensional character. I didn't want to put it down and I sure didn't want to be bothered while reading it.
I have to highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romantic story.

From the Author
** The Scientist and the Supermodel** is the prequel to Genetic Attraction , my best-selling M/M/F menage. After completing Genetic Attraction i thought i would leave these characters behind, but they yelled at me. My heroes wanted me to tell the story of how they met and fell in love. It's the unique tale of a Phd genetic scientist who thinks of himself as straight and a gay, high school dropout supermodel who is called the "most beautiful man in the world". What an unlikely couple. I say of this book, "before two guys can get the girl they've got to get each other".
I fell in love with these characters so completely that i have created a third book in the series. It's called Deceptive Attraction and it stars Caleb, the younger brother of my scientist, Jake. I hope you'll watch for it in late 2011. Meanwhile, enjoy The Scientist and the Supermodel and check out the next book in the series, Genetic Attraction. : )
