โœฆ Synopsis

Differential optical density spectra of excited chlorophyll-a (chl-a) in dioxane were measured between 475 and 630 nm by a 337 nm excite-and-probe beam method with variable delay. Determination of the quantitative S, and T, absorption cross sections u(A) is based on additional measurements at 670 nm, where oS is known from non-linear absowtion. The population density analysis reveals an S,-bypassing relaxation of chl-a afte? two-step absorption of 337 nm photons.

Both fluorescence excitation and dispersed fluorescence spectra of 2-aminobenzotrifluoride in a supersonic jet show quite extensive vibrational structure due to the CF,-torsional motion in the S, and So electronic states, respectively. This structure has been assigned and results in CF,-torsional po
