When Tansy Silver has the weekend off for a much-needed vacation, she takes her dog Hank and best friend Millie with her. The setting is gorgeous and their airstream trailer is adorable as well. The Great Escape Resort offers a variety of RV travel trailers for guests, as well as hiking and a lazy river. Even Hank is excited about relaxing for a change.
βYour crush? You donβt look to me like youβre a shy one. Whatβs stopping him from being more?β
βWell, the fact that he drives me crazyβ¦ in an annoying way. Not the other way.β
βBut you think heβs cute?β She quizzes me and it feels like sheβs staring into my soul.
βDoes anyone have their cellphone?β Luke saves me as he calls out from the camper door.
Reminding myself Iβm trying to stay out of it, Iβm stymied when no one but me has their phone. Shaking my head, I walk towards Luke, handing him the phone.
βOh, no thank you. Do you know how many germs phones have? I just need you to call 911, please. Let them know we have a dead body on the property.β
And with that, my relaxing vacation comes to a screechingβ¦
For Tansy helping the local police is second nature, even if it comes with a surprise. But getting caught in the crossfire is too much.
And with everyone on high alert, itβs crystal clear no one is relaxing this weekend.
