We describe a symmetry group for the matrix Riccati and differential equation, and prove a reduction theorem which simplifies the calculation of the elements of this group. We also find necessary and sufficient conditions for two equilibrium FB(~(r.K))(,=o=FB(K)=~. points to be symmetry equivalent.
