Calculations are reported on the rotational transitions J--r J' = J. J\* 2, J = 0, \_ \_ . , 3 of H2, with the simultaneous excitation of a vibrational quantum, in the scattering of a SLOW electron. The method is based on the quantum mechanical impulse approximation, which neglects the kinetic ener
