We investigated the hydration and swelling properties of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) and poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)-poly(N,N-diethylacrylamide) derived microgels by Fourier transform infrared-(FTIR-) spectroscopy in a wide region of the temperatureepressure plane. These systems are known to show a
