## Abstract The conformational behaviour of 6‐alkyl‐3‐oxo‐2‐oxabicyclo[3.3.0]octan‐7‐ols and some derivatives possessing the configurations a (6‐__endo__‐7‐__exo__), b (6‐__endo__‐7‐__endo__) and c (6‐__exo__‐7‐__endo__) is discussed. It is shown that an easy configurational assignment is possible
The role of the C(2) configuration and methyl substitution on the catalytic activity of novel 2,3,3- and 2,7,7-trimethyl-substituted γ-aminonorbornan-2-ols
