## Abstract The cationic local anaesthetics carbocaine and unpercaine were found to increase the fluoride‐stimulated adenylate cyclase up to a maximum level; above this maximum level further increases in drug concentration inhibited the enzyme. At concentrations where this activity was stimulated,
