✦ Synopsis

A delayed fluorescence emission of biphotonic nature with the triplet state intermediary is observed from indole ring in low temperature water glasses or in polycrystalline ices. Electron scavengers like CdZ+ions are shown to quench the D.F. emission. A mechanism involving "mobile" electrons or electrons in different solvation states is discussed.
