We investigated the consequences of acute and subacute administration of mice with polyisobutylcyanoacrylate (PIBCA), polyisohexylcyanoacrylate (PIHCA), poly(D,L-lactic) acid (PLA), and polystyrene (PS) nanoparticles on the mononuclear phagocyte system phagocytic function. This was done by measuring

β¦ Synopsis
Hepatic lectin blocking experiments with D-galactose in Balb/c mice showed that parenchymal liver cells are obviously not involved in Listeria monocytogenes infection (strain SLCC 4013, 5 x 104 cells i.v.). Using the bacterial immunomodifier Propionibacterium avidum KP-40 the importance of an activated mononuclear phagocyte system in the early stage of Listeria infection could be demonstrated.

## Abstract 1βBromopropane (1βBP) is used as a cleaning agent or adhesive solvent in the workplace. In the present study, the hepatotoxic and immunotoxic effects of 1βbromopropane and its conjugation with glutathione (GSH) were investigated in female BALB/c mice. The animals were treated orally wit
