Based on the extended nonlinear SchrΓΆdinger equation in an optical fibre with cubic-quintic nonlinearity, evolutions of the frequency chirps, shapes and spectra of Gaussian pulses are numerically investigated in the normal dispersion regime of an optical fibre.
