The adventure continues. Ten years have passed since Jonathon McKinnah, and his followers opened the Science Center on the Island of Gruenwald. Now the mighty Ankh have arrived, lured to Islandia by Talo, one of their robotic scouts. From the visit, the humans learn the secret of the Ankh’s faster-than-light space drive, which Jonathon needs to complete his dream of returning to Earth. They succeed, but the cost is high. Talo, who has guided Jonathon for twelve years is apparently destroyed. When the Islandians travel to Earth, they find a planet in the grips of a powerful Industrial Council whose only goal is to steal the secret of the Islandians FTL spaceship. Faced with insurmountable odds, Jonathon sets out to create a confederation of the other colony worlds to combat the power of Earth. Complicating the situation is an unprovoked attack by an Alien hive society, the Muhyba.
