β¦ Synopsis
The night before her unwanted marriage, a young woman named Fury is drawn once more to the grand mausoleum of the city. Perched at the top of a mountain, the mausoleum is heavily guarded and no women are allowed inside. Just as women aren't allowed to do much of anything in Fury's world. Suspecting it was not always so, Fury makes a perilous climb to visit two tombs in particular. The choice she makes there could change her life forever.
An expertly crafted fantasy short story which explores the courage and strength it takes to break invisible chains.
