## Abstract Metabolism of the carcinogenic hydrocarbon benzo(a)pyrene (BP) to water and alkali‐soluble products was measured in cultured fibroblast and epithelial cells from human embryos. The alkali‐soluble products represented only a small fraction of BP metabolism. Fibroblasts from different org
