Near infrared Fourier Transform (FT) Raman spectroscopy has been used to study the degradation of industrial samples of poly(vinyl chloride). The advantage of the method in overcoming background fluorescence means that complete commercial polymer formulations can be investigated. Further, the FT-Ram
