## Abstract The Raman spectrum of pure liquid __para__βnitroaniline (__p__βNA) was studied between 150 and 220Β°C, and compared with those of the crystal and solutions. The 1270β1350 cm^β1^ region is the most significant. The Ξ½ line, very weak for the solid, becomes intense in the spectrum of molten

β¦ Synopsis
The intensity of Raman scattering of pnitroaniline has been measured relative to an internal standard of benzene for a range of visible excitation wavelengths. The measured deviation from the "fourth power law" has then been compared with the theoretical predictions of both Shorygin and Albrecht.
