✦ Synopsis

Two personality inventories, the 16 PF and the MCI, were compared in terms of their ability to discriminate among the subgroups of inmates at the Wisconsin State Reformatory at Green Bay showing important dflerences in background factors and in various indices of adjustment. The results favored the 16 PF and led to its substitution for the MCI at that institution aa a general screening instrument.
