โฆ Synopsis
Although the performance required of Ss is quite different, the Bender Gestalt Test and the Organic Integrity Test (OIT) are quite similar in rationale. Both tests assume that the ability to perceive gestalts is related to cortical integrity. Validity data for both tests suggest that they are about equally effective in detecting perceptual deficiencies. This paper investigated the correspondence between these two tests with a group of non-brain-damaged subjects. In spite of the differences in the tasks, these tests should be assessing similar functions.
