## Abstract A number of proteins are known to interact with huntingtin (htt), the Huntington's disease (HD) protein. Understanding the function of these httβassociated proteins could help elucidate the pathogenesis of HD and the role that htt plays in the disease process. The present review focuses

β¦ Synopsis
Even though the intracellular concentration of orthophosphate (Pi) is an important influence on intracellular metabolism, its regulation is not well understood. In this paper a simple model is used to explain how cellular [Pi] is influenced by the transmembrane electrical potential and sodium distribution and by the kinetic properties of active and passive Pi transport, and how these factors affect the dependence of cellular [Pi] on extracellular [Pi] and its response to small displacements from equilibrium. Parts of the analysis are also applicable to other transported metabolites.

A variety of signalling molecules has been implicated over the past 8 years in the regulation of intracellular transport pathways. Those molecules include heterotrimeric GTP binding proteins, members of the protein kinase C family, and members of the Rho subfamily of small GTPases. Until recently, n

We have developed a noninvasive method with general applicability for measuring intracellular oxygen using the spin label TEMPOL (2,2,6,6,-tetramethypiperidine-N-oxyl-4-ol) which has superhyperfine structure in its electron spin resonance spectra that is broadened in the presence of oxygen.
